Violent Attack Leaves One Dead in Narvarte, Mexico City

In the Narvarte neighborhood, located in the Benito Juárez borough, an armed attack resulted in a tragic outcome: one man dead and two people injured, one in the face and the other in the leg. The events took place on February 11 at a motorcycle workshop on Avenida Universidad, where three men were shot at by individuals riding a motorcycle. After the attack, the assailants fled down the same avenue until reaching the corner of Zempoala.

The swift action of the authorities allowed for the capture of three individuals, including a person identified as Marco Vega, who was pointed out as the driver of the motorcycle used by the attackers. Following the incident, the Secretariat of Citizen Security cordoned off the area and requested the intervention of emergency services to attend to the injured and ensure the safety of the location.

The attack was described as violent and sudden. The assailants, wearing helmets, arrived at the workshop where the victims were and began shooting without a word. The gunfire was heard by witnesses in the vicinity, creating a tense atmosphere in the area.

Civil Protection personnel assisted in securing the area, while forensic services carried out the removal of the body. Subsequently, the motorcycle used in the attack was located in the Cuauhtémoc borough thanks to surveillance cameras, which expanded the search radius for the authorities in that area.

The Attorney General's Office of Mexico City opened an investigation into the case to clarify the motives behind the attack and determine the responsibility of the detainees. The details of the incident, from the arrival of the assailants to the subsequent capture of the suspects, are part of the ongoing investigation in search of justice and safety for the affected community.
